People with schizophrenia may also withdraw from the world, losing interest in everyday interactions with friends and family and finding it hard to express emotions. Healthcare providers state that the brain reacts to these voices in the same way as if they were engaging in a conversation with a real person. These voices and sensations seem real to the person experiencing them. Hearing voices and responding to them is a common hallucination in schizophrenia. Hallucinations cause a person to see, hear, smell, taste, or feel things that are not part of the world around them and are only present in their mind. In these situations, they should speak with a mental health professional to find ways to improve self-esteem and adjust self-talk to focus on being more positive and encouraging. But overall? For me? I'm not saying Mumble is the best it has a bad, unintuitive UI and getting people who don't use it to install it and run the wizard and register and save their certificate and set it up right, etc, etc, etc is annoying.

Skype is just awful and I don't know how people tolerate using it. Since I'm not using it to listen to music, I'd rather have weird sounding voices that can communicate and hear my communication when I say it than the opposite. That's actually an appeal of it it degrades the quality rather than causing a delay. If the quality is shit, it's because someone has either not used the "wizard" or because they're having lag. Mumbles quality is superb on good connections and has no latency. The settings are also very complex and can be confusing, but there's a lot of control there.

Vent's quality is so-so, but the delay it has can be problematic for some things. If you haven't used it in years, you might be impressed.
